Nice to Meet You
Originally from the Philadelphia area, I worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant before marrying my husband, Riccardo, and moving to Milan, Italy in 2022. That’s where I started teaching English and ran my first ever marathon at Lago Maggiore.
In 2024, we relocated to Tokyo—and while I’m still running, I now have four little legs chasing after me: our Shikoku Ken puppy, Nori-chan. I started this blog to share our journey with friends, family, and anyone else navigating expat life. The adventure’s still unfolding, and I’m excited to see where it goes next.

More than a year after moving to Tokyo, we’ve experienced spring hanami under the sakura, skied the snowy slopes of Hokkaido in winter, and hopefully soon will run another marathon here in Japan. But the biggest highlight? Bringing home our sweet Shikoku Ken puppy, Nori-chan. Life has definitely been interesting—follow along for what’s next, or for travel stories, running updates, and our rare dog breed.
